The Old Vicarage: view from front

The Old Vicarage is a "listed" Georgian country house, the main part of which was built in 1761, with additional wings constructed in 1812. Built of mellow hand-made bricks in the Flemish bond, it is a very fine example of the building craftsmanship of the period. The house was used as a vicarage until the beginning of the last century.

Standing in pleasant lawned gardens, with croquet lawn and walled rose garden, the Old Vicarage is an ideal setting in which to relax and unwind.

Its situation in the charming market town of Easingwold, also makes it an excellent base for touring York, the Dales, the Yorkshire Moors and the famous "Herriot" countryside.

Within Easingwold the Old Vicarage occupies a quiet location overlooking the market place, thereby offering easy access to a wide selection of restaurants, pubs and tea-and-coffee houses. Many places of historical and architectural interest are also within easy reach.
